Travel Hurricane Ian Emergency Medical Support Certified Nursing Assistants

Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC, a leading healthcare staffing company servicing the nationally emergency COVID and Disaster efforts over the last few years, is seeking interested Emergency Medical personnel: EMTs, Paramedics, Medical Assistants, RNs, LVN, CNAs, Case Managers, Behavioral Health Counselors, Nurse Practitioners who are available to work a potential one-to-four-week assignment to assist with potential disaster efforts related to Hurricane Ian. Each applicant will need to be ready for deployment with 24 to 48 hours. Each applicant will need to complete their onboarding credentialing packet prior to deployment. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed, but it will likely be in various efforts of the Panhandle and/or Gulf Coast regions of the state. Guaranteed Hours, Lodging and Overtime Hours likely offered.

Certified Nursing Assistants

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing services for on-site clinic health units for Government contracts for rapid deployments to support emergency and disaster efforts. This is a temporary position, and the length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements. This position reports to the Site Lead at the on-site clinic health unit.

• Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Systematically assesses the urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyzes data, and formulates a plan of care, with other members of the medical team, which is realistic in relation to the CNAs capabilities and job requirements.
• Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensing and regulations of state employment or practice.
• Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.
• Identifies and records the signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
• Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making daily.
• Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
• Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare and specifically in the practice of emergency medical treatment.
• Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Contract / Full Time / Temporary (up to 30-day assignment)

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Full time, Part time and PRN available
• Day Night and weekend shift
• 40 plus hours per week with overtime pay
• Travelers will have housing and per diem provided
• Per diems and lodging only available after proof of residence is more than 50 miles of work site.

Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant

• Current BLS, ACLS and Pals certification (or willing to obtain/renew)
• Unrestricted Valid Drivers License
• Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License
• Ability to pick up and move up to 40+ lbs. of equipment
• TB skin test (must be within 12 months)
• TB chest x-ray (must be within 3 years)
• Physical (must be within 12 months)
• Tdap (must be within 10 years)
• MMR (must provide 2 doses or titers)
• Varicella (must provide 2 doses or titers)
• Flu (or immunization declination)
• Hep B (or immunization declination)
