Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance is the largest, independently owned orthopedic specialty practice in the Kansas City metro area. We have over 50 medical providers practicing out of six locations (Leawood, Overland Park, Merriam, Belton, Plaza and Blue Springs). Each team focuses on the importance of customer service, communication, and caring for patients.

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant as Patient Care Tech who is looking for work life balance and a dynamic working environment. Someone one who has a strong willingness to learn by working side by side with our physicians and physician assistants. Someone one who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Patient Care Techs can move between offices with the Provider they are assigned.

Job Function:

You will have direct and indirect patient care. You will take patients to the room, check vitals, suture/staple removal, bandage changes, casting and splinting. Prepare injections/aspirations, respond to phone messages, schedules testing, and send in prescriptions in a timely manner. Document patient calls and advice given, open office visits, update required MIPS documentation, and complete FMLA/Disability forms, work status, RTW, sports forms, applications for handicap parking status. Assist Physician and PA’s in clinic with evaluations, management and treatment of patients. Pull up X-Ray/MRI’s, open patient chart, cleaning and stocking of the room.

Requirements:

Experience: 6 months to 1 year relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience

Experience working practice setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
