Job qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care to our patient in our medical office.

Education/Training:

• High school graduation or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification
• CPR certification

Experience:

• Two years or more as a medical assistant experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Understanding of clinical tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Familiarity with EMR system.

Duties and Job Responsibilities:

• Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
• Maintains medical supplies, inventory, stocking and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by: taking blood pressure, weight, reconciliation medication list and temperature
• Ability to perform EKG, Venipuncture, and Injections
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
