Paragon Healthcare is hiring a FULL-TIME (40 hours per week) Clinical Pharmacist-in-Charge/Center Operations Manager for its home infusion pharmacy located in Knoxville. TN Current state licensure required.

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for carrying out the daily duties and responsibilities for the provision of alternate site/home health pharmacy services with minimal supervision.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and a current state pharmacy license are required. An advanced pharmacy degree is preferred.
  • Continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed.
  • Minimum of one year previous experience in alternate site/home health pharmacy service is preferred.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience with a willingness to learn home infusion also acceptable.
  • Leadership experience preferred; willingness to learn and positive attitude required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the activities of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and delivery/equipment technicians
  • Assists the pharmacist(s) with the dispensing, compounding, and delivery activities.
  • Checks and maintains inventory levels; places inventory orders, logs in new inventories.
  • Checks for expired/unusable products and dispose of them properly.
  • Documents all activities appropriately.
  • Answers and initiates phone calls related to providing pharmaceutical care
  • Prepares delivery tickets.
  • Assists the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining and tracking all infusion related equipment.
  • Fulfills the duties of the patient delivery representative when required.
  • Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations.
  • Strives to achieve cost effectiveness in all areas (including purchasing/inventory control, staffing delivery services)
  • Regular business hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm. On-call on a rotation as scheduled.
