Position Summary:
As a South Coast Business Employee, you will be maintaining the vehicles, bus stops/shelters, and the grounds for CCATD as requested.

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
  • Perform preventative inspections and maintenance on vehicles and buildings
  • Assist in maintaining the building
  • Be knowledgeable about and promote environmental safety
  • Perform minor repairs when required on building, bus stops/shelters and vehicles
  • Perform part runs and supply runs for the building, bus stops/shelters and vehicles
  • Clean and wash vehicles
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.
  • May be exposed to water, fumes, and chemicals
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Maintenance experience with all types of heavy duty transit equipment
  • Ability to pass a drug test
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Education related to vehicle maintenance or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in vehicle maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Be able to read, wire, and speak English
