This position is located at Marine Corps Base Hawaii - Camp Smith . Candidates selected for this position will serve as a RFT CASHIER (FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN) NF1 working for* MCCS.*

Major Duties

Reporting to the manager of the facility, collects payment for food purchases, properly processes credit card or cash transactions, and provides accurate change back to patrons. Greets patrons and may help with seating assignments. Performs table service such as menu presentation, tableware, filling or re-filling beverage items, cleaning and re-setting table when required. May maintain register log and reports at end of day for reconciliation with waitstaff and bartender. May prepare bank deposits of cash receipts and may makes change funds for cash registers. Receives, counts, and verifies monies received with daily cash reports for accuracy. Prepares coversheet by register, amount and register number with Daily Cash Report, as required. May operate package machines in connection with the counting and wrapping of coins and currency for change machines. Maintains appropriate logs as necessary.
Provides meaningful connections through customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Six months of cashier experience preferred. Must have knowledge of basic cash handling procedures, be familiar with currency and negotiability requirements, and be able to operate a point-of-sale register. Knowledge of business mathematics and routine office procedures required. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
