Cashier Job at Genesis Hospitality
Job Summary:
This position is responsible to operate the cash register, maintain the counter of the pizzeria, retail product showcase, and beverage showcase. All employees are expected to provide outstanding guest service and assist with general cleaning and maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for operating the cash register. This includes: Setting up the system in the morning, accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions and maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at registers, making sure there is enough change, and counting the money at the end of the day.
- Responsible for maintain the cleanliness and organization of the counter.
- Responsible for the serving station. Keep it organized and clean.
- Prepare and replenish the retail product showcase. Check that each item in display has the correct name and price.
- Accountable for beverage showcase, filling, cleaning, and checking expiration dates.
- Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.
- Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and café housekeeping.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
- Before leaving shift: clean chairs, tables, and put chairs up.
- General cleaning assigned by schedule every week.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager or manager-on-duty.
