This position is located in our Washington DC office.
The Paralegal Team performs a wide range of substantive case, matter, and entity-related duties by supporting our attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- One year of office experience
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Preferred Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a law firm supporting paralegals and/or attorneys
- Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
- Proficient in MS Outlook
- Database experience
What will your day look like?
Your responsibilities will include assisting attorneys and paralegals in day-to-day trademark search, clearance, prosecution, and maintenance matters. You will also conduct research and analyze data from a variety of sources for incorporation into clearance summary reports, trademark office petitions, and opposition filings. Prior intellectual property knowledge or experience is not required but must be learned in the position. Additional duties include compiling documents in support of filings, assisting with domain name management and enforcement actions, corresponding with international law firms on case matters, and assisting with general administrative and organizational tasks within the group.
