JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategic Kids Cartoon Instructors teach K-8 children how to draw simple cartoons step-by-step in a fun and creative environment during 50 to 60-minute sessions. Most cartooning sessions are at the elementary level.

EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have experience cartooning, drawing, doodling, and/or working/volunteering with children.

WORK HOURS
1 to 3 hours per day

WORK DAYS
Monday to Friday, 1 to 3 days per week, during the school day/after school.

WORK LOCATIONS
Public, private, charter, and home schools throughout Orange County, including Los Alamitos, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Orange, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, and San Clemente.

HOURLY RATE
$23 per hour if teaching Cartooning class
$20 per hour if assisting in Cartooning class
One-hour classes (paid 1.5 hours)
Two or more hour classes (paid an extra 15 minutes before and after each class)

MATERIALS
Cartoon Instructors will be given Strategic Cartooning resources, from a list of 100 cartoon ideas to instructional cartooning videos, so that you will be ready to teach elementary students! All Enrichment Cartooning Instructors will be given all necessary materials, such as markers and paper. Each Cartoon Instructor is also encouraged to be unique and creative and use their own cartoon style to teach children how to draw, from anime to original cartoons.

PAID MILEAGE
Strategic Kids pays daily rates for mileage of $10 to $20, based on the distance driving ($10 daily, or $15 if the drive is 15+ miles from home to school, or $20 if the drive is 20+ miles from home to school).

NETWORKING
A fantastic way to network with support staff for university and college students pursuing a K-8 teacher, school counselor, school psychologist, or art degree!

SUMMER WORK
There are opportunities to work during the summer and year-round!
