Carpenter Job at Endura Products
General Position Summary:
The Carpenter for Endura Products Inc. works in the Purchasing Department performing maintenance work as directed by the Store Room Manager. One of the main work functions of the Carpenter is to staff the pallet shop building & repairing shipping pallets for use in transporting finished products to customers. This position will require the ability to use common carpentry tools like tape measures, saws, crowbars, hammers, grinders, sanders and pneumatic nail guns. The Carpenter will also make interior or exterior repairs as needed and assist others in the Purchasing department as needed. This position will also perform general housekeeping and clean-up of their work areas and other spaces in the facility as directed. The Carpenter will also operate a forklift moving products or pallets and in completion of their other duties. The Carpenter will assist others in the maintenance department or facility as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions/Major Assignments:
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Follows all safety policies and procedures including the required use of personal protection equipment.
General housekeeping and cleanup of the work areas and other designated spaces as assigned.
Building and repairing pallets for shipping/product movement.
Secondary Functions:
Assisting others in the maintenance department as directed.
Operating a forklift as necessary or required.
