Carpenter Job at ALEUT FEDERAL LLC
JOB SUMMARY: Report to Dormitory Support Supervisor. Perform general carpentry services, upholstering, and furniture repair. Part-time, 28 hours per week.
PRIMARY DUTY: Cut, shape, and fabricate wood or wood substitutes, as specified by verbal or written instructions, sketches and/or blueprints using carpenter’s hand or power tools and woodworking equipment. Re-upholster chairs and repair cadet dormitory furniture. Perform other related duties as required such as attaching metal siding or trim to structures, concrete work, masonry, ceramic tile repair and installation, repairs on overhead doors, and installing metal frame doors. Repair items using power and hand tools and equipment. May direct or instruct laborers and/or helpers assigned to the project.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Perform other duties to directly support Cadet Support Services and Aleut Management Services mission needs.
EXPERIENCE: Requires the completion of a formal apprenticeship program or it’s equivalent and 5 years experience as a journeyman or other related experience in the specific trade. Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions and lift 75 lbs. Understand, read, write and speak fluent English.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent education or job training.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Able to receive and maintain a favorable local background check (LBC). And National Agency check (NAC) as applicable to position requirements.
