Essential Responsibilities

  • Meet one on one with job seekers to match career goals and capabilities with opportunities to meet their career goals.
  • Assist job seekers with resume writing
  • Ensure that job seeking clients are effectively and accurately assessed in job exploration using various career related assessments.
  • Facilitate workshops as needed prior to hiring events or to enhance job seeker knowledge.
  • Facilitate trainings as needed for outreach to with local community partners.
  • To enhance job seekers experience in the Centers.
  • Participate as part of new job seeker orientation.
  • Communicate with job seekers via telephone, e-mail, regular mail or in person, and manage records as needed. Perform data entry to support and log customer activities.
  • Maintain a familiarity with workforce programs such as: Wagner-Peyser (WP), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Welfare Transition Program (WTP), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in administering Career Planning duties.
  • Comply with appropriate standards of workplace behavior and professional conduct. Contribute to a clean and safe working environment, and the effective use and maintenance of assigned equipment located within the assigned Career Center.
  • Ensure that all proper documentation and data for the services provided is maintained.
  • Perform related work as required.

Qualification Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent training/experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Bilingual Spanish/English Strongly Preferred

Working Conditions

This is an administrative office occupation comprised of work that generally involves sitting at a desk or standing in office situations. Travel may be required between all 3 Career Centers and for community presentations and/or meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and customers are required to wear masks at all times. Surfaces are sanitized after each use.

  • Orange City, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
