NYCP Career Pathway Facilitators
Newark Youth Career Pathways is recruiting Career Pathway Facilitators for the 2022-2023 school year.
CPFs will facilitate classroom instruction in NYCP classrooms, aimed to develop students in the following areas: leadership, career exploration, financial literacy, and post-secondary education. In addition, CPFs will assist the NYCP Program team with student engagement initiatives, attendance and record keeping and serve as the NYCP liaison at school sites.
Estimated Time Requirement: 10-15 hours per week during the school day 8am-3pm with a minimum of two days a week
NYCP Career Pathway Facilitators will:
Facilitate classroom discussions/curriculum in NYCP classrooms
Facilitate NYCP core content as well as content designed by program partners
Take attendance; assist with all paperwork and record keeping during the school year
Attend facilitator meetings; assist the program team with student engagement initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in youth development or youth programming
Minimum of two years of experience in facilitation/teaching
Previous experience in one of the program areas: leadership, career exploration, financial literacy or post- secondary readiness (college and/or career)
Excellent communication, facilitation and writing skills
Understanding of Newark schools and Newark community
Minimum of two years in college
