As an Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) you will provide for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons with developmental disabilities while supporting them to be as independent as possible. We are currently hiring for Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm shift in the Diamond Springs area.

Responsibilities

• Assisting a person with disabilities to become more active in the community:
  • Helping them with their grocery shopping
  • Joining them in their hobbies, entertainment, and other recreational interests they may have
  • Helping them run errands
• Support with personal hygiene
  • Bathing
  • Oral hygiene
  • Assisting on and off commode
  • Changing adult briefs
• Light household work
• Meal preparation
• Lifting and transferring, sometimes with the assistance of a Hoyer lift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of direct support experience
• Valid CA Driver License and proof of auto insurance
• Access to a reliable vehicle
• Willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position and a positive test for any illicit substances, including marijuana, will preclude the applicant from being considered for hire)
