We’re currently looking for a Part Time Care Provider in Encinitas (North County)

A wonderful family in Encinitas is looking for a part time care provider for their laid back, quiet, shy teenage boy. When mom goes out of town, the family needs someone reliable and easy going to show up at the house, pick up or make dinner (mom will pay) then do the same for breakfast. Ideally, this person will be at the house from 6pm-9m and then again from 7am-10am, but times are somewhat flexible. The provider is welcome to spend the night at the family’s home for convenience, but will only be paid for the 6 hours as described above (again, timing is flexible, so if only available until 9am in the morning, etc, we can chat about it). No other responsibilities besides making sure he gets dinner and breakfast and he’ll probably be in his room most of the time you are around, so someone who will let him do his thing and not push conversation, etc, will be a great fit. Must be supportive of the LGBTQ community.

• Schedule: 6pm-9m & 7am-10am (the following day) as needed
• typically 1-4 days at a time and 2 times per month

• Rate: $25/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing dinner and breakfast for family’s teenage son

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of paid, professional care experience
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Has a valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
• Family is fully COVID vaccinated but does not require their care provider to be vaccinated
• Must be a nonsmoker from a non smoking household
• Must be comfortable with the family’s 2 pet cats

Compensation: Position pays $25 per hour and the family is looking for 12-48 hours per month on an as needed basis long term
