SUMMARY

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store and concessions to meet probability objectives and creating a customer centric environment. Assist in supervising staff and volunteers, provide customer service, and building positive relationships within the community.

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in training staff and volunteers with the day-to-day operations of the campus store and concessions.
  • Daily complete all store opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure standards for quality customer service, and health and safety standards are met by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Assist with visual merchandising standards, ensuring availability of merchandise, maintain appropriate stock levels and executing merchandising objectives.
  • Manage the receiving, preparation, and replenishment of all store related shipments, partnering with the Store Manager on any vendor related issues.
  • Assist with managing omni-channel operational process, making sure all online orders are processed in a timely manner, and responding to any online customer issues.
  • Assist with purchasing by creating SKUs, creating purchase orders, and managing invoices.
  • Fully manage the stock levels for all categories on the Sales Floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role and Responsibilities for Summer on the Hill Associate (June and July Only):

  • Input Summer on the Hill camps and events on the calendar.
  • Assist with Summer email inbox and phone inquiries.
  • Proof CampBrain data input from Summer Catalog and Week to Week Summaries.
  • Assist with data input/output on CampBrain.
  • Order Faculty/Coach supplies and equipment upon request.
  • Assist with waitlist management.
  • Responsible for summer t-shirt inventory/ordering in Spring, distribution in the summer.
  • Coordinate weekly technical needs with the Help Desk.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail setting.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work with Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community
  • Representatives effectively.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks necessary.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Basic general computer skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required, average 10% a year.
