Primary Objectives:*
The Campus Store Assistant assists the Campus Store Manager in running the school’s campus store.

*
Key Responsibilities:*

  • Operate and perform Point of Sale (POS) cash register functions
  • Print and reconcile daily sales report, cash totals and store deposit
  • Stock, straighten and display items on the shelves and hanging racks
  • Communicate low stock inventory list and other inventory management needs
  • Provide/perform customer service/sales/barcode inventory/pricing system functions
  • Assist with yearly inventory responsibilities and seasonal retail display configuration
  • Assist Campus Store Manager in coordinating and supervising volunteer efforts

Requirements:

Key Requirements:*

  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills, works well independently
  • Conflict management skills
  • Implement strong customer relations skills and perform basic math functions
  • Ability to lift up to twenty pounds and carry a distance of fifty feet
  • Ability to work full-time hours four times per year during peak periods

In addition, the person should:

  • Commit to living his/her life under the lordship of Christ
  • Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ, and be a Christian role model in speech, actions, and attitudes, which contributes to the spiritual atmosphere of the school
  • Believe and affirm the school’s Statement of Faith

  • Demonstrate evidence of consistent spiritual activities such as worship at a local church, fellowship with the body of Christ, personal devotional time with the Lord, and individual study of scripture
  • Evidence the fruit of the Spirit in the nurturing of relationships with other staff members, students, families, and the community at large
  • Be actively involved in a local church

Work for this position will primarily take place in an office. The physical demands of this position include lifting up to 25 pounds often, and up to 50 pounds intermittently; carrying up to 25 pounds often, and up to 50 pounds intermittently; climbing/balancing, crouching, and crawling rarely; stooping and kneeling intermittently; bending and standing regularly; pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, and walking often. To perform this job the person must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time; and must possess normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
