OVERVIEW:

Spaced Ventures, the public space investment portal, is seeking a Campaign Success Associate to help drive greater investment (and thus client satisfaction) towards the equity crowdfunding campaigns we run for early-stage space startups. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders including startup founders, journalists, influencers and other vendors/partners. Successful candidates will bring a mix of basic to intermediate research, relationship-building, marketing and communications experience that they are seeking to further refine and develop.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching and securing avenues to showcase companies prior to their campaign launch
  • Pitching and engaging with members of the press and influencers on behalf of Spaced Ventures companies
  • Identifying creative ways to increase exposure and maximize each company’s crowdfunding campaign e.g. through activating and engaging with inner circle investors, accredited and retail investors, company team members, PR and influencers
  • Supporting internal selection of, as well as coordination with, notable investors (includes getting permissions, meeting facilitation and email follow-up)
  • Defining weekly and monthly campaign milestones and ensuring that these are appropriately highlighted by all parties when met
  • Driving the use of companies’ assets to maximize each company’s raise
  • Making sure companies send updates, effectively utilize events, leverage social media and communicate with investors during and post their campaign raises
  • Ensuring SV and client companies’ digital presence (websites, company and founders’ social media accounts) consistently support raise efforts (e.g. by conducting social media audits, creating and implementing promotion strategies), while complying with FINRA guidelines
  • Working closely with the Marketing Team to ensure internal collaboration, communication and alignment on achieving team goals
  • Creating lists of investors who could be inclined to invest more given more or personalized information and then reaching out to set conversations up with such people
  • Being a warm, friendly and trustworthy point of contact in supporting companies during pre-launch, launch and post-close
  • Internally coordinating campaign closes with different teams and ensuring experience is a pleasant and enjoyable one for client companies

ATTITUDES, SKILLS AND PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:

We seek a skilled communicator who identifies as a creative and logical thinker. Someone who is detail oriented, highly organized and can handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing critical tasks. Being genuinely excited to learn about emerging space technologies and share these learnings with others is a plus, as is being a natural relationship-builder.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 0-3 years of experience for this role.

COMPENSATION:

This is a full-time, entry-level contract-to-hire role. Candidates will be paid an initial hourly rate that is consistent with their performance and prior relevant experience. Full-time Spaced Ventures employees will be eligible to receive additional standard company benefits including health insurance coverage and generous paid time off.

LOCATION:

This position is based in Brownsville, Texas and local talent is especially encouraged to apply. We are willing to work with exceptional out of state candidates and do have flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid structure.

TIMELINE:

We are looking to move quickly and interview qualified candidates on a rolling basis. For the right candidate, it may be possible to start PT and scale up to FT in a few weeks.
