Ideal Surfaces, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment. We are a wholesale company that works with Kitchen and Bath dealers throughout the southern half of Wisconsin. This position is for installing Cambria quartz countertops out of our Lake Mills location. From this location, we cover the southwest portion of the state. Our primary work is residential homes with commercial projects on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria and Ideal Surfaces best practices.
• Load the truck in the morning with counters and supplies for the day
• Upon arriving at the customer’s home prepare and set up tools to begin the installation.
• Prep sink and drill faucet drillings
• Carry counters into the home. We have carts to reduce carrying distances.
• Learn seam gluing applications
• Cut and install backsplashes on counters
• Caulk and silicone areas, where needed, at walls and to adhere counters to cabinetry
• Clean job site and wipe down counters
• Inspire a positive attitude when working with homeowners and contractors

Desired Skills & Experience:

• A High School diploma or GED preferred
• Proficiency in basic mathematics
• Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Be able to lift 75-100 pounds
• Excellent organizational skills
• General construction knowledge
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Being dependable, by being at work each day
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and as a team

Brief Overview of a Day

We start a 5:30 each day, load the truck at the shop, and arrive at the customer's home between 7-7:30 am. Crews are two people and a third or fourth person may assist on a site with a more oversized counter. We have the latest high-tech equipment that reduces strenuous lifting and time spent on the job site. An average kitchen install takes two hours to install and vanities about one-half hour. Typically, there are three to four stops for the day and arrival back to the shop is early afternoon. The average workweek is 40-45 hours.
