About The Role

Western Security Bank is seeking a Call Center Representative for our Banker Hotline. Internal and external customer contact is primarily over the phone. This position extensive customer service skills, the ability to work well and communicate well with others. This position includes a wide range of duties varying from customer support, general account maintenance/adjustments, wire transfers and other banking duties. This position requires the ability to interpret processes and procedures and the ability to communicate them in a manner that is understood by the customer and positively assist the customer with problem resolution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Set up, file and maintain all ATM and Debit Card applications. Responsible for debit card ordering and maintenance.
  • Assist with basic wire questions.
  • Answers phone calls and offers quality support to internal and external customers.
  • Performs various maintenance functions including dormant account maintenance, IVR maintenance, general account maintenance, account adjustments, address monitoring and maintenance, internet banking resets, telephone transfers, stop payment input and review, AFT/ACH setup, fee reversals, etc.
  • Responsible for additional duties including morning reports, statement research, charge back notification, verification of deposit, deceased reporting, telephone transfer review, etc.
  • Responsible for general clerical duties including filing, signature scanning and mail handling.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS
  • Responsible for modeling the behaviors that make a customer feel valued when using WSB services in person or over the phone.
  • Make all customers feel welcome and at ease by treating them in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Research account information for customers and demonstrate that you are interested in their business.
  • Discover the customer’s problems, needs and objectives by making observations, listening and asking questions.

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES
  • Actively participates in WSB continuing education.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Responsible for fulfilling the missions statement: “I will exceed the expected.”
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months previous customer service or call center experience.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to use listed tools and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective personal working relationships with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
