Café Cook Job at PIPER SHORES
The Café at Piper Shores is a hot spot for our Residents to grab a quick bite to eat and social with residents, grab a hot coffee and a good book to read while overlooking the ocean, or grab a quick breakfast to go. The newly renovated Café looks out over an expansive ocean view, and is a truly unique work environment to enjoy!
This position has primary responsibility for preparing menu items, serving food and beverages, and maintaining the Café in a safe and sanitary manner. The Café Cook provides the residents with prompt, quality food and service with a friendly and inviting attitude. We are looking for a dedicated team member who has great customer service skills to provide the best experience for our residents.
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday from 6a-2p.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares meals in the Café as well as prepares go-to lunches for employees.
- Prepares, stocks and maintains all necessary food & beverage products to effectively serve breakfast and lunch in the Café.
- Provides counter type meal service to residents and management.
- Maintains the Café in a safe and sanitary manner at all times.
- Assists in kitchen monthly cleaning list.
- Assists the Production staff in the main kitchen with daily preparation of food for facility wide usage.
- Maintains all work areas in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year experience in a professional kitchen setting preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- Ability to interpret standardized recipes, instructions, specifications and standards.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position and is 40 hours.
