CAD Operator/Drafter Job at GREEN SPAN ENTERPRISES INC
Description:
PURPOSE:
Uses AutoCAD to create construction drawings for insulated exterior building cladding.
DUTIES:
- Draw and detail exterior insulate metal panel building cladding
- Prepare Bill of Materials for production
- Maintain and create standard details
- Coordinate drawings internally and potentially with outside drafting services
- Check outsourced drawings
- Review and approve drafting invoices, if necessary
- Review approval and construction drawings
- Check externally generated Bills of Material
- Create Work Order & Pick Lists (using NetSuite)
- Order outsourced trim & accessories
- Manage drafting schedule
- Communicate delivery schedule to Project Managers
- Draw new components and maintain existing panel profiles
- Do take-offs from customer drawings for estimating purposes.
SKILLS:
- Proficient with AutoCAD (drafting)
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficient in navigating architectural drawing and specifications
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years of drafting experience
- 2-5 years spent in the building components and cladding industry (desired)
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma (required)
- Technical Degree (preferred)
