Bussers

Bussers support other team members by cleaning tables and taking plates, utensils, and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed. Bussers might help runners bring food out to a table, and restock utensils, napkins, and other dining room needs.

Essential Job Functions

• Greets all customers and provides them with accurate, friendly, fast efficient service.
• Bussers aren't the front line of food service, but customer attentiveness and a neat appearance are still necessary. Bussers make sure runners can focus on the diners and if necessary, assists the runners in making sure that food comes out to tables in a speedy manner.
• Utilizes and maintains equipment as required by the department and reports any equipment issues immediately.
• Dresses according to company policy to include company-supplied clothing, name badge, and hat or hair restraint.
• Complies with hand washing standards.
• Maintains a clean, neat, organized, and safe work/shopping environment.
• Maintains department sanitation and quality standards by cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils and equipment. Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Participates in cleaning and maintenance with the use of disposable gloves. This may involve wiping spills, sweeping the floor, or removing litter.
• Must also report malfunctioning equipment and safety hazards to managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Meets all work schedules and complies with all time and attendance policies.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• A passion for serving people.
• Must be comfortable talking to people.

Physical Demands

• While performing the job duties, the associate is regularly required to stand and/or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift including going up and down stairs throughout the shift.
• The associate must frequently bend, twist, reach, push and pull.
• The associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs.
• This position requires an associate to be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
