Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
Must be able to teach Microsoft office applications, and business basics.
Assignment may also include financial literacy and advanced business level courses
Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school
Other duties as assigned
Assist in development of Career Institute academies
Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to insure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully
Must be willing to support and implement Davenport’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
Other duties as may be appropriate and assigned by the principal.
Endorsement Required: [115] or [1171] Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV Yes No)
Well versed in the collaborative team concept
Experience in working with an at risk population
Master’s degree desired in order to potentially teach college level courses
Experience in CTE
