NerdWallet is looking to hire a Business Development Senior Associate supporting our Credit Cards business to generate growth while strengthening NerdWallet's positioning and value proposition among financial service providers.
As a Business Development Senior Associate reporting into the head of Business Development for Credit Cards, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Nerdwallet's partner network and become a trusted, consultative resource to our most important strategic partners. You will be responsible for shaping strategy and partnership growth using both quantitative and qualitative insights to identify and pitch existing partners on opportunities to drive revenue growth for the Credit Cards vertical. You will develop a foundational expertise of the space, how NerdWallet operates, the needs of partners, and how to balance those to better serve consumers.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role requiring critical thinking, operational excellence, and a consistent record of leading partnerships that involve internal and external partners. Our ideal candidate will have functional experience within the financial services affiliate space, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, experience in process development and implementation, and an unwavering eagerness to learn. Experience within the Credit Cards industry is a plus.

  • Onboard new partners and products to the credit cards marketplace
  • Find opportunities to enhance performance of our marketplace and increase revenue

Where you can make an impact:

  • Cultivate and grow NerdWallet's relationships with existing partners to meet revenue and performance targets across multiple high-impact partnerships
  • Actively manage dynamic site inventory to meet revenue and performance targets across multiple high-impact partnerships
  • Identify and lead opportunities to grow the business by pulling practical insights out of complex data sets and conducting market/competitor research
  • Listen to the needs of our partners and provide constructive feedback on our products and services, helping shape product roadmaps
  • Serve up insights on market dynamics by researching and reporting on the competitive landscape
  • Contribute to the monthly forecasting and reporting for a multi-million dollar digital marketing business
  • Work cross-functionally with analytics, product and marketing teams to improve business processes and help build the foundation for future growth

Your experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in partner management, with expertise in leading multiple accounts/partnerships simultaneously while consistently keeping an eye on return on investment of initiatives
  • Experience in financial services or credit cards is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in customer acquisition marketing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, including basic data modeling and manipulation
