Pactum is looking for a passionate and dependable Business Development Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and nurturing key relationships with existing clients. You will have the opportunity to create and implement business development strategies to drive sales and increase revenue.


We are looking for someone who will:

  • Identify and relentlessly pursue new business opportunities for Pactum; generate leads and move them through our sales pipeline
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategies as well as target market initiatives
  • Conduct market research and generate leads
  • Partner with our Account Executives, Sales leadership, Executive team, and Product to identify opportunities for improvement in our product, sales cycle, and market fit
  • Support the sales team and deal structure with business-value analysis
  • Create proposals and presentations as needed

You are likely to succeed if you have…

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in B2B enterprise sales and/or business development
  • A thorough understanding of negotiating and sales techniques
  • Excellent relationship building skills - you will be building business relationships with various stakeholders from some of the biggest companies in the world
  • Proven success with prospecting, developing leads, managing complex sales-cycles, and closing deals
  • Experience working with AI, tech, or startups (preferably) and/or are happy to work for a startup
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs
  • Self-sufficiency and flexibility. You don't wait for someone to tell you what to do - you are comfortable with figuring out what problems are worth solving and how to solve them
  • Resilience - you can deal with rejection and don't mind having difficult conversations with people
  • Organizational skills and a "get things done" mindset
  • Reliability and hunger for success - you deliver what you say and keep promises. Punctuality and meeting deadlines are a must to you. However, if something prevents you from doing that, you are always honest and find ways to make things work
  • A strong analytical mindset and you are able to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Availability and willingness to work some early or late hours as needed, as you will be part of an international Sales team
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Excitement about the mission of Pactum and cannot wait to help grow the company and the product

Compensation details:

At Pactum, we pay competitive salaries to ensure that our employees know they are valued. We set standard ranges for all of our positions benchmarked against companies in similar stages of growth and revenue, dependent on job function, expertise level, academic achievements, and geographic location.

The compensation range for this role is approximately $140,000/year – $180,000/year, plus variable commission, in addition to company equity.
