Summary

The US Controlling group supports the financial forecasting & analysis responsibilities for the NA Commercial Bioscience Division. This individual will assist with management of over $3B is sales & $300M in operating expenses consisting of forecasting/budgeting, monthly analysis, coordinating departments to efficiently process invoices, and assist other related activities.


Primary responsibilities for role:


  • Analyze operating expenses of US Commercial organization on a monthly basis to support both internal commercial reporting and corporate-level reporting requirements.
  • Support Mid-Year plan and Annual Budget process by coordinating with US-based Commercial Sales & Marketing groups on estimated operating spends & headcount.
  • Support US-based Commercial Sales & Marketing groups, which includes monthly accruals, invoice processing, monthly OPEX reporting with business insight, leading mid-year forecast and annual budget process .
  • Provide Daily NA Commercial Sales report with comparison to forecast & budget to commercial leadership team.
  • Handles any ad hoc requests from various internal customers.
  • Consolidate US & Canada OPEX & headcount reporting to provide monthly reporting to the NA Commercial leadership team
  • Coordinate monthly sales forecasting process with brand guidance influenced by current industry including various volume & pricing targets, factoring internal and market trends.
  • Provide financial guidance on various Commercial projects (ROI analysis, new product introduction, etc)
  • Lead Mid-Year plan and Annual Budget process by coordinating with US-based Commercial Sales & Marketing groups on estimated operating spends"


Skills/Qualifications/Education Requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Requires a B.S. or a B.B.A. degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. An MBA and/or CMA is preferred.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance related position. Capital related experience in Biotherapeutics/ Pharmaceutical field preferred.
  • Consolidate US & Canada OPEX & headcount reporting to provide monthly reporting to the NA Commercial leadership team
  • Coordinate monthly sales forecasting process with brand guidance influenced by current industry including various volume & pricing targets, factoring internal and market trends.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
