Care of Buildings & Grounds Equipment Maintenance & Installation


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives


Maintain and improve building conditions by changing light bulbs, fixing doors, changing filters, and painting


Remove snow and salt walkways or mow and remove weeds, seasonally


Complete maintenance service work orders as assigned


Communicate any accidents, threats, downtime, or cost-saving measures to leadership


Install, maintain, and repair facility equipment according to OEM standards


Read and understand warnings, manuals, and wiring schematics


Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and product quality


Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards


Maintain heating and plumbing systems and inspect boilers and refrigeration systems


Record samples and review trends from chart recorders on various pieces of equipment


Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal
workload.

Qualifications


High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred


1-3 years’ experience working on mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment


Ability to operate bobcats, forklifts, tractors, and trucks


Ability to communicate and accurately maintains records


Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools


Boilers license, desired


HVAC/Refrigeration experience, desired


Experience in food or feed production, a plus
