Responsibilities of the Building Utilities Technician I
- Perform daily checks on all building utility systems
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facilities-related systems, including HVAC, hot water/steam systems, chillers, and compressed air systems
- Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time and in compliance with SOPs
- Perform building repairs
- Input data and complete paperwork
- Be available for on-call rotation as required
- Follow all healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
Qualifications of the Building Utilities Technician I
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience in facility equipment/system maintenance
- Basic reading, math, comprehension, and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a group and independently
- Knowledge of proper use of hand tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in clean room and GMP applications preferred
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
This Building Utilities Technician I position works full-time hours with some flexibility on start time and requires rotating on-call duty. Pay depends on experience, ranging up to $75,000/year.
