Responsibilities
The Central Branch YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Building Services staff person to join our team to perform janitorial duties (ie. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.) that maintain a clean environment and freshly stocked facility.
- Transform: Clean and sanitize locker rooms and other assigned areas of the building. Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
- Care: Perform various duties such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, reporting mechanical issues, snow removal, and maintaining entrances and staff offices.
- Build: As a member of the maintenance team you should build relationships with members, support all staff, be positive, friendly, and helpful
Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- At least 16 years of age.
- Reliable transportation to attend work.
- Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
- Able to fulfill all demands and skills in spirit, mind, and body for building services staff in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary: Non-Exempt Part Time $10.00-$10.50 hourly
Hours Available: 2 pm-6 pm, Monday - Thursday
