Klein and Hoffman, Inc. (K&H) is an Engineering/Architectural firm headquartered in Chicago with a Mid-Atlantic Region presence in Philadelphia. The firm specializes in new and renovation projects related to the Building Envelope, supported by its established Structural Engineering capabilities. K&H utilizes its resources in a collaborative manner to establish proven solutions for Developers, Owners, Property Managers, Design Architects and Project Consultants

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Immediate contribution of proven, differentiating, diversified expertise for multiple building types in the Conceptual Planning, Design, Construction and measured Performance of Building Envelope Specifications and Systems with an initial focus on support of Healthcare Systems.
  • provide Leadership Initiatives in bringing further exposure to new Building Commissioning opportunities within additional markets to include Commercial, Higher Education, Government, Bioscience and Pharmaceutical specialization
  • Provide a seamless presence within the firm and the Commissioning Department, with capabilities in working collaboratively with support staff and other tin-house technical resources in maintaining and modifying operational standards through mentoring and training staff and serving as a Change Agent, as required.
  • Proven Conceptual skills in deriving scope definition as related to the Commissioning/Building Envelope process to provide a more competitive position for K&H during the initial stages of project identification, development, and ultimate client selection.
  • Aggressive exposure of Klein and Hoffman within the industry both locally and regionally, will be an on-going requirement including communication of Building Structural systems, as it serves as a synergy to the Building Envelope in support of our cross-selling capabilities.
  • Commissioning and Peer Reviews of large projects. Peer Reviews represent a more moderate scope and compensation. In this position experience in developing proposals and qualifications in support targeted opportunities and involvement through project closure is required.
  • A primary focus with continued existing and new relationships with architectural firms is desired.
  • An understanding of the importance and structure of the partnering concept and our position of value in those strategies to include an awareness and role in supporting Diversity participants in advancing the potential for pursuit success.
  • The candidate should possess qualities of an Industry Leader who can both verbalize and publish the services and capabilities of Klein and Hoffman to the A/E/C industry within a national forum with the intent of trafficking that exposure in an accountable manner to secure new business.
  • Monitor and participate in trending ways of seeking ways to expand our services and potentially establishing new market segments within this process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed Architect or Structural Engineer
  • Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering
  • 10 to 15 years of experience with firms of similar stature and related service
  • Affiliation with one or more of the trade groups to include ASTM, FGIA, BEC
  • Enclosure Commissioning Credentials from a recognized organization
  • Proficient in Word, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, TERM, WUFI, and PROCURE
