Breakdown Coordinator Job at EVO Transportation & Energy Services
Fleet Customer Support/Breakdown Support will assist the Fleet Team by providing solutions for our drivers and Operations Team by managing scheduled maintenance, breakdowns, and roadside situations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage incoming calls, emails, and other communications from District Managers, Site Managers, Driver Managers, and other Operations’ Personnel regarding breakdowns.
· Communicate with Dispatch and Fleet nationwide.
· Advise practical business solutions for maintenance and breakdown situations.
· Track resolutions/repairs along with time frames of completion. Communicate this data with Operations.
· Build processes to keep outside repair costs down.
Requirements:
· 3+ years’ experience working in the trucking industry.
· Must be familiar with DOT laws and regulations to ensure driver safety.
· Work with Driver Managers if run will be jeopardized by severity of repair to get a rental reserved and in place.
· Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner to keep runs and drivers on schedule.
· Setting up the tows for accidents or major repairs.
· Build a preferred vendor list by location.
· Enter breakdown invoices as well as outside repair orders based on truck and route site location in Wheeler.
· Coordinate between dispatch, drivers, and shops for repairs outside of our shops when applicable.
· Notifying safety of accidents or reportable incidents as well as follow correct processes for these situations.
· Work with Site Managers to coordinating repairs/services needed for sites without shops.
· Maintain professionalism between operations, shops, as well as drivers.
· Build partnerships with outside repair facilities to ensure future services.
· Rent and track equipment where repairs will jeopardize delivery times as a last resort.
· Work with Driver Managers to get rented equipment back and EVO equipment back operating to keep rental costs down.
