McKesson’s Medical-Surgical division is seeking a Brand Manager to join the Marketing and Strategy team in Richmond, VA. Reporting to the Director, Brand Strategy, the Brand Manager will support efforts for defining, developing, and implementing the brand strategy for specific products, product lines, segments, and overall Med-Surg approach. This inherently cross-functional role will require some onsite time for meetings and collaboration in the Richmond office.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of defining, developing, and implementing the brand strategy for specific products, product lines, segments and overall, Med-Surg approach.
  • Work with Senior Brand Manager to own and manage brand for Med-Surg including:
    • Value proposition development (across Med-Surg and within segments)
    • Messaging strategy (across Med-Surg and within segments)
    • Brand standards, inclusive of McKesson Brands – editorial guidelines, design, etc.
    • Brand review and governance
    • Brand health metrics – monitoring, action planning, etc
    • Drive insights, business needs and requests for Med-Surg level awareness and consideration marketing & advertising
  • Collaborates teammates to understand their market and project needs and links brand positioning to maximize customer loyalty and connection to the product and company.
  • Executes brand strategies and programs to achieve commercialization, profitability, business growth and market share objectives.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to lead brand planning efforts and develop brand personality in conjunction with marketing, product marketing, product management, market research and marketing communications functions.

Critical Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills – interpersonal, written and visual
  • Self-directed and able to autonomously lead and operate projects and execute independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of influencing within and across organizations- preferred experience working with VP+ leaders
  • Brand lover - understands it, gets it and can live it
  • Fluent in audience/market research, analysis and best practices
  • Agency management experience- including RFP, KPI definition and review
  • Works under limited direction.
  • Determines and develops
  • approach to solutions

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with launch of new Val Prop and positioning work
  • Health care experience

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$76,800 - $128,000
