YOUR MISSION

Support our life science team in the successful discovery of novel cancer biomarkers and discover new potential cancer treatments based on our unique data from microgravity experiments and previous missions.

YOUR TASKS

• Help to make our drug discovery and repurposing experiments successful
• Dive deeper into the science and understand the connection of our new data to known disease specific pathways
• Coordinate and support meetings with external scientists to persuade them of the value of microgravity
• working at the intersection of biomedicine research and market needs to bring our products to market through partnership

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• you have a PhD degree in biomedicine, biochemistry, biology or pharmaceutical sciences with ideally strong background in oncology
• you are willing to take initiative, responsibility and leadership for this challenging project
• ideally have first experience in disease translational biotech or pharma setting with regards to drug discovery and/or development
• basic experience in bioinformatics
• ideally are excited by space as much as we are
• experienced with MS Office
• are a team player with communication skills, supportive, well organized and have an independent way of working
• fluently speak and write in English and ideally good in German

WHY YURI

• Is there anything more exciting than the intersection of space and biotechnology?
• You directly or indirectly work on projects that are launched to the International Space Station and other space platforms
• You instantly feel at home in our 600 sqm cozy loft office with gym equipment furniture, a spacious kitchen, foosball, spikeball and a large beer fridge (yes, beer and coffee is on us!). We even have a shared yuri flat in Luxembourg for team members that visit from Meckenbeuren.

yuri is a European space startup founded in 2019, headquartered in Meckenbeuren in Southern Germany with an R&D office in Luxembourg.
