BILLING & DENIALS SPECIALIST I WESTWOOD CONF CNTR-WAUSAU Job at Aspirus Health System

We are seeking a BILLING & DENIALS SPECIALIST I in Wausau, Wisconsin at Aspirus Westwood Conference Center who is responsible for following up claims with no response from payers, working and managing insurance denials, managing, writing, and carrying out the appeal process for all payers. They are also responsible for the submission of clean claims to all third-party payers for all hospital and professional services.
This is a remote work opportunity.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in business, accounting, healthcare, or a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- High school diploma, or GED required.
- Two to three years of related work experience in a healthcare billing department strongly desired.
- Two to three years related work experience with an electronic health record strongly desired. Epic preferred
- Basic CPT and ICD10- coding knowledge desired.
Hours: Full-time, 80 hours per pay-period. Day shift. Full benefits package available.
