Job Summary:

The Benefits Coordinator is primarily responsible for researching and responding to employee inquiries while being the primary liaison between employees and insurance providers. The Benefits Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring payroll deductions, processing enrollments and data entry. This role will provide support to the Compensation and Benefits Manager on all benefits and leave related tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Committed to Serve. Assist new hires and current employees with any questions or concerns relating to their insurance coverages.
  • Communicate. Act as liaison between employees and insurance carriers to resolve any benefits-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Measurement. Process monthly payroll deductions and monthly carrier invoices. Ensure data entry is concise in our system as well as with our insurance carriers.
  • Ownership. Process COBRA and all other termination paperwork as required.
  • Dedication. Support the Compensation and Benefits Manager with the processing of FMLA, PFL and all other disability paperwork.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of Human Resource experience, required
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Proficient verbal and written English
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is mostly sedentary, outside of travel, in an office space. The abilities to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary, are required.
