The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Human Resources Department is growing and adding a new Benefit and Wellness Coordinator to the Benefits team. In this role, the Benefit and Wellness Coordinator will administer wellness programs across all three campuses and assist the benefits team with various tasks.
Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist in the creation and day to day activities of the wellness program (four pillars: Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Financial) through registration, communication and measured effectiveness. Serve as main point of contact for Wellness Ambassador Program.
  • Assist with benefit tasks such as but not limited to updating benefit materials, dependent verification, ergonomic requests, benefit educational tips, etc. and serve as a back-up to benefits where appropriate.
  • Track cost-containment strategies and programs to evaluate effectiveness and provide reports to an established budget; ensuring that spending is in alignment with wellness program expectations. Track attendance, participation, or performance data related to wellness events.
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine interest in or satisfaction with wellness and programs, events or services. Coordinates, plans, and facilities health and fitness activities and programs for employees with the University Wellness Coordinator. Recommend new program or service offerings to promote wellness and fitness.
  • Produce two quarterly Benefit/Wellness newsletters (Benefit Tips and Retirement Readiness) along with developing marketing campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in overall wellness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and must have knowledge of benefits and wellness concepts and applicable experience.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to organize, track and manage complex processes.
  • Strong presentation skills; computer skills, management and leadership skills, problem solving.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong networking and ability to interact with a wide variety of professionals including high level administration, employees, food service and healthcare professionals.
