  • Design behavioral interventions for students and implement behavior support plans.
  • Conduct psychosocial educational group sessions.
  • Thorough and timely documentation and recording of progress notes.
  • Help coordinate Functional Assessments of Behavior and Behavior Intervention Plan that address students’ inappropriate behaviors and provide a means to help the students become more academically successful.
  • Measure goals and objectives of behavior support plans to ensure they are being met.
    Coordinate between teachers and parents to implement behavioral interventions.
  • Ability to discuss with other professionals the progress of the individual and work within an active educational classroom.
  • Compile data on students and analyze the behavioral interventions to determine their effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Provide behavioral interventions and support to students in all aspects of their day, including academic, therapeutic and recreational activities.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Experience

Preferred
  • Working with psychiatric children/adolescence or direct services in an education or Human Services field is preferred.
