Bakery Team Member
We are seeking help in our bakery.
Bakers typically do the following:
- Check the quality of baking ingredients
- Prepare equipment for baking
- Measure and weigh flour and other ingredients
- Combine measured ingredients in mixers or blenders
- Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough
- Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets
- Set oven temperatures
- Place and bake items in hot ovens or on grills
- Observe color and state of products being baked
- Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings
- package and label according to FDA and USDA regulations
Job qualifications:
-Knowledge of ingredients and how to use them in a creative way will serve you well.
-Must be able to read, write, and comprehend fractions and basic arithmetic. -Working with knives, icing bags, and other precision tools and must have excellent technique when cutting and preparing food.
-Hand-eye coordination is needed.
-Great time management will help.
-Lifting up to 50lbs, standing for 8-9 hours shifts.
-Multi tasking and self starting a must.
- Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility.
-Certifications needed. We will pay for you to be food management and handler certified.
30-40 hours a week.
Pay dependent on portfolio and experience.
