Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
-Coordinate all aspects of the automotive program, including overseeing daily operations.
-Conduct faculty meetings and participate in educational conferences, professional training and seminars, as well as staff/department meetings.
-Advise students for academic and behavioral problems.
-Hire and terminate instructors in coordination with the Education Director and the Campus Director.
-Process student evaluations, grades, and all other required reports/documentation.
-Assigns class/teaching schedules.
-Follow students’ competencies and GPAs. Including all NATEF and COE documentation.
-Provide individual/group tutorial opportunities for students.
-Oversees maintenance of inventory of department supplies and submits request for
purchases to Education Director for replenishment of supplies as needed.

-Advise students regarding attendance and academic progress and concerns, including all
written documentation as well.
-Act as advisor to retain “at-risk” students.
- Insure that Automotive Technician program is operating under all Department of Education and COE and NATEF requirements.
-Complete instructor and course content evaluations on a regular and timely basis.
-Assist the Education Director in curriculum development and preparation of course
materials.

-Oversee maintenance and custody for all equipment used by students.
- Responsible for all student action notifications in CampusVue (attendance probation,
recycles, drops, restarts, LOAs, and transfers).
-Return student/instructor phone calls daily.
-Perform student Questionnaires and exit interviews every module.
- Process student evaluations, grades, and all other required reports/documentation.
-Assigns class/teaching schedules.
-Follow students’ competencies and GPAs. Including all NATEF and COE documentation.
- Acquire qualified substitute instructors when necessary.
-Act as a substitute instructor when no other qualified instructor can be found.
-Recruit local businesses and conduct advisory committee meetings, including minutes.
-Additional duties as assigned by the Campus Director or Education Director

Education/Experience/Skills
-High School Diploma or GED.
-Minimum of three years field experience in supervisory position.
- Must demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge and continuing study of the subject matter.
- Must present a professional image and conduct oneself in the same manner.
- Proven supervisory experience required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, faculty, and students.
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
-Current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) master certification required.
