Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed Semiconductor Quality division is seeking a proven, hands-on Automotive Customer Quality Engineering Manager to lead the Quality function across two of our Power businesses. To be successful, this person will have a strong background in automotive, be a driven, self-motivated leader who can create a system, organization and culture that is adept at continual improvement across multiple business functions and geographies while maintaining strong customer focus and interaction.
The Day-to-Day:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Discrete Power Device and Power Die Product business teams to support customer quality objectives across Automotive and Industrial markets.
  • Engagement with customers across North America, Europe, and Asia to understand, meet, and exceed their expectations from new product development through sustaining activities.
  • Oversee a team of customer quality engineers to support the business and customer quality objectives to include new product development, ppm, customer returns, 8D reports, problem solving techniques, as well as customer engagement and communication.
  • Engagement in new product development to ensure quality is built in from the grounds up and assess potential risks.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • BS in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related degree.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with large automotive customer bases to include customer satisfaction expectations, quality systems, and continual improvement methods.
  • Knowledge in quality systems, semiconductor wafer fabrication, assembly and test operations or automotive applications.
  • The ability to operate in a fast pace, highly dynamic global environment, at a detailed execution level, as well as on a tactical/strategic level.
  • Demonstrated capability of interacting with senior leaders through the organization and maintaining credibility and collaboration between the quality function and other business functions.
