SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are currently seeking a driven and disciplined AutoCAD Technician to assist with collecting field data, working alongside with project managers to develop and draft mechanical and structural installation documents and develop detailed shop drawings.


A successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, ability to effectively multi-task and have strong math skills. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Field Foreman and Project Managers with field data collection
  • Drafting of layout drawings under project manager supervision and guidance
  • Receive project drawings and develop detailed shop drawings for approval
  • Work closely with project management staff and shop foreman to develop details to optimize both shop and field productivity
  • Compile review comments and issue for fabrication drawings
  • Assist estimating staff with quantity take off and solicitation of material pricing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • A minimum two-year degree or technical certificate and equivalent on the job experience
  • Comprehension of construction drawings is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • 3-5 years of previous relevant experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and material handling equipment is preferred
