Job Description:

  • Note - Interested applicants are encouraged to submit two samples of past GIS work (e.g., maps, reports, story map, etc.)

Location: Open to considering any US office location (San Ramon, Rocklin, Reno, Seattle, San Jose, Lathrop, Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Maria, Valencia, Irvine, San Diego)

Position Type: Full-time, mid-level (2+ years experience)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Position Summary: As an ENGEO CAD/GIS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the creation of reports, web-based applications, and other products for our clients. You’ll collaborate with AutoCAD and GIS teammates to boost efficiency and share knowledge while juggling multiple projects. You’ll also coordinate with our dynamic engineers and Project Managers to create visualizations and analysis of project plans and details.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD to efficiently draft, edit, and finalize plans and details while adhering to ENGEO drafting standards
  • Understand and visualize civil/geotechnical engineering concepts and translate these concepts to design drawings
  • Help update and maintain GIS platforms in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal
  • Help the GIS team create innovative solutions for visualizing data
  • Collaborate with ENGEO teammates to create and update figures for reports
  • Serve local and global projects
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed

Experience and Skills:

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency using AutoCAD (release 2017 or above)
  • Experience using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online
  • Experience/Education: 2 -5 years performing CAD and GIS design work with a civil engineering firm or equivalent combination of education, experience and training

Other Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience creating detail drawings and construction plan sets
  • Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data and files.
  • Experience in Geotechnical and/or Environmental fields
  • Experience with Civil3D
