DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
Be part of the All Points team supporting the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in developing the Europa Clipper (EC) spacecraft, specifically in the assembly, test, and launch operations (ATLO) phase.
The ATLO Test Conductor will lead and direct test team daily for the planned test activities.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
- Perform as a Certified Test Conductor (CTC) responsible for safe development and execution of mechanical integration & test procedures during all satellite test phases
- Be responsible for looking ahead on what needs to be prepped for the next control point (MGSE items, procedure status, flight hardware, etc.)
- Independently author test procedures and standard operating procedures compliant with the common processes within ATLO.
- Provide input into product build flow/schedule to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Determine sequence of operations and specify procedures for the integration of hardware, equipment and other functions that affect product performance
- Specify solutions to a variety of technical problems
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred) or equivalent experience / combined education
- 12+ Years
- Knowledgeable of Space Certified Test Conductor (CTC) program or be a current CTC
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Experience generating detailed test procedures and work instructions
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal customers
- Must be a US citizen
- Willingness to work overtime & travel, supporting off-shifts and weekends as needed
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Must be eligible for Secret Clearance - not required to start
