Overview

Our Program leads are responsible for the exceptional delivery of our products and partnering with client services to deliver operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to their business(es). Associate Program Directors handle a wide range of assignments, projects, and/or clients with a high degree of success and independence. They take responsibility for the margin growth/protection of the accounts they manage, demonstrate leadership skills, and have strong internal team relationships.

Associate Program Directors provide analysis and solutions for new processes/solutions that lead to client growth by collaborating with and drawing on the expertise of Ogilvy’s vast resources and capabilities. They advise and partner with client services, strategy, creative, production, media, and analysts as champions of flawless creative execution.

Responsibilities

  • Growing/protecting margins along with client services - including joint ownership of locally agreed targets
  • Interfacing regularly with all client levels on Delivery strategy and progress across a piece of integrated business(es)
  • Understanding and anticipating client needs; taking them into account when framing and making Delivery decisions
  • Working with Group PMO to ensure right resource allocation and management on any given program/project
  • Drafting and owning Delivery project plans (timeline, budget, scope of work, staff plan) spanning client services, strategy, creative, production, media, measurement
  • Accurately identifying types of work and scopes, timing, difficulty of work and defining the processes necessary to get things done; simplifying complex processes
  • Support the project management/workflow system with data entry, reporting, and analysis (e.g., capacity plans, resourcing, financial projections)
  • Demonstrating strong collaboration skills with internal agency team and key external partners, including creative partners to ensure quality and adherence to production guidelines for key deliverables
  • Conducting internal/external post mortems to identify ways to improve and/or patterns for replicating success
  • Effectively and impartially navigating teams with conflicting priorities
  • Mobilizing and driving the integrated team towards forward progress, action, and results
  • Developing and maintaining high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement)
  • Ensuring high quality delivery process and execution
  • Understanding/ability to activate agency matrix and portfolio
  • Applying standard agency processes to client work and innovating new ways of working which can become agency best practices

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with managing integrated accounts and/or pitches
  • Diverse client portfolios and team management on accounts generating $3 million+ in revenue
  • Track record of consistently delivering multi-channel, multi-experience, dynamic campaigns as well as streamlined, fast-track and project-based work
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with peers, supervisors and clients. Is sensitive to style differences among others and makes adjustments to own style when working with different people
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring flawless creative execution
  • Innovative mindset and change agent who is never satisfied with the status quo
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment through flexibility, resilience and a positive outlook
  • Seeks out and is receptive to feedback. Learns from and applies feedback by making suggested improvements and adjustments in work performance

  • Experience with Smartsheet or other project and resource management tools a plus
  • Agency experience required
  • PMP preferred
