Associate Financial Planner

II. MISSION

The Associate Financial Planner at ProVise Management Group is an integral part of our team serving as the true connection between our clients, support team and advisors. This great communicator, influencer and enthusiastic person will support the vision, values, positive culture and team spirit.

The Associate Financial Planner assists the Advisory Team to provide financial planning and investment management work, either, under the management of higher-level professionals or on their own (depending on experience and qualifications). They assist clients by acting as an Advisory point of contact for client follow-ups as well as financial planning preparation.

The Associate Financial Planner engages with clients as directed, supports other Financial Planners to build out financial plans, and coordinates client related requests with other departments. They have obtained the proper licensing and experience to work directly with clients.

III. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Client and Advisory Engagement

· Works closely with firm Principals, Senior Financial Planners and Financial Planners to develop planning expertise.

· Works directly with clients as secondary point of contact in the advisory team.

· Analyzes client information and evaluates results to choose the best financial planning solution within the Provise client experience.

· Builds client financial plans and investment proposals as directed by the Principals, Senior Financial Planners and Financial Planners.

· Communicates financial plan to Principals, Senior Financial Planners and Financial Planners to identify the client’s needs, objectives, goals, concerns within the planning software.

· Ensures client data is captured in the meeting and compiled in the firm’s financial planning software, CRM, and other related software applications.

· Identifies gaps and opportunities within client plans and works closely with the Principals, Senior Financial Planners and Financial Planners to present solutions to the client.

· Develops financial planning expertise to support the firm’s clients by building and understanding of time value of money: present value, future value, annuity payments, internal rate of return, as well other financial planning modeling scenarios.

· Supports the client onboarding process by completing financial plan and investment proposal within the appropriate software applications.

Compliance

· Complies with all regulatory requirements

IV. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Experience and Education:

· Bachelor’s degree with pursuit of CFP®. Having the CFP® already is a plus.

· Series 65 required

· 1-4 years direct advisory focus

· Development in core financial planning and development of core client cases

Skills and Knowledge:

· Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required

· Knowledge of investment advisory regulations preferred

· Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, and can deal with confidential information

· Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services industry

· Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
