Delta Community Supports, Inc. (“Delta”) is seeking a strategic and insightful team member to serve as the Associate Director of Community Living. Reporting to the State Director of IDD Services, this individual will serve as the primary point of contact for their assigned program locations and support staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maximize the development and capacity of staff to advance the mission and values of Delta.
  • Promotes and demonstrates ethical and professional conduct at all times ensuring employee’s conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
  • Promotes and participates in Delta’s Risk Management Program, addressing the health and safety of individuals and employees.
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate assigned personnel; and review and approve personnel actions for all employees under supervision.
  • Develop, plan, implement and administer division goals and budgets.
  • Direct and oversee implementation of the division work plan, assigned work, activities and projects.
  • Recommend and develop division procedures.
  • Confer with other division directors for work and projects necessary for HR to support its’ internal clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and trends and employment legislation to ensure Delta’s compliance.
  • Develop communication channels to disseminate revised or new policies, procedures or changes in laws and regulations.
  • Consult with division directors on personnel issues to give compliance advice and direction.
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate and/or as directed by the President on personnel matters.
  • Develop and maintain a HRIS system that meets Delta’s needs.
  • Review on an annual basis all policies, procedures and practices to make recommendations to senior management any improvements or additions for best practices and compliance.
  • Assist senior management in the annual review, preparation and administration of Delta’s wage and salary program.
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for both PA and NJ.
  • Participates on committees and special projects, including Balanced Scorecard and Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Safety and Wellness.
  • Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Coordinates termination process and procedures with division directors and/or appropriate staff.
  • Perform such other duties that may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the company by the President.

Position Qulifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a social service field or public administration
  • Five (5) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 4 years (Preferred)
