Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Assistant Project Manager who will thrive on our Construction Services Team.


The Construction Services Team at Baldwin & Shell specializes in Renovations, Expansions, Tenant Improvements, Health Care projects, and Ground Up projects typically under 5 million dollars. The Assistant Project Manager plays a key management role in the organization and implementation of the projects from start to finish. Experience in Federal projects and/or Health Care projects is a plus. You will report directly to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the preparation and execution of all contract documents with owners and vendors. The Assistant Project Manager plays a role in the responsibility for all materials, scheduling and cost control of the projects assigned. The Assistant Project Manager may be responsible for running small projects.


Every day you are relied on to:

  • Draft subcontracts and purchase orders scope of work. Issue to PM for review and execution.
  • Preparation of preliminary schedule for review by General Superintendent, Project Manager and estimating.
  • Scan documents as needed for cloud storage.
  • Take jobsite photographs and catalog photographs.
  • Review specifications and set up submittal logs.
  • Works closely with OE, PE, and PM.
  • Go above and beyond to help assist your team in any way needed.

To thrive, you must:

  • Have one (1) to three (3) years of project management experience in commercial construction projects.
  • Have Commercial Construction industry knowledge.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have advanced knowledge of Project Management software.
  • Be able to read construction drawings & blueprints accurately.
  • Have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Have highly developed organizational and time management abilities.
  • Have strong financial skills to develop, track, and analyze project budgets.
  • Respond well to and actively listen to feedback.
  • Be willing to learn and expand your knowledge continuously.
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.
