Doggie Paradise is continuing to grow and we are looking to add 1 more Dog Lover to our Team for our week and weekend shift.

Kennel Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Training and supervision of Kennel staff

• Supervision and monitoring of dogs in our care

• Feeding dogs as required

• Following a schedule

• Making sure all tasks and checklist items are completed by end of each shift

• Cleaning is done in accordance with company policies and procedures

• All pets are cared for in accordance with company policy and procedures

• Ensures effective organization and execution of on-going kennel activities (including daily, weekly, holiday and other special events)

• Organizes and implements marketing and growth strategies for the Kennel department

• Utilizes resort software to its full potential to enable: accurate invoicing of services, review of immunization/lab testing, communication of upcoming services which are due, communication with pet parents, incident reports, scheduling, etc

• Ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to all stakeholders

• Engaging customers and building strong relationships

• Pet parent engagement through the use of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, etc)

• Assist resort leadership with human resource management (as directed or required)

• Maintaining all safety and health protocols/procedures throughout the facility

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge/experience with customer service best practices and principles

• Excellent communication skills

• The ability to: organize, prioritize, follow a schedule, ensure tasks are completed

• Knowledge and experience in: working as a team and keeping a team motivated and on schedule

• The ability to coach, mentor, lead, manage and motivate the associates who work for the resort

• Knowledge of pet care, handling of pets, basic pet health, medications and pet safety

• Experience managing/supervising a dog kennel program

• The ability to accurately and consistently follow instructions and complete assigned tasks

• Outstanding decision making skills

Shift Hours:

Weekdays 7 am-12 pm and 2 pm-7 pm, Weekends 8 am-12 pm and 2 pm-7 pm.
