ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER NEEDED FOR MERRITT CLUBS!

Maryland's most elite athletic organization is rapidly expanding again! With 40 years of outstanding success, Merritt Clubs is looking for career-minded leaders who can think "outside the box" to rocket our top-notch team to the next level.

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to learn how we manage the day-to-day results related to customer service, sales, personal training, group exercise, revenue, retention, and facilities management. Areas of exposure include:

  • Leadership and accountability for the club and team.
  • Driving revenue and growth for the Membership programs ensuring a world class member experience.
  • Managing operational goals and outcomes of various departments in the club.
  • Conducting routine facility audits to ensure a safe, 5-star experience for members and associates.
  • Participation in leadership meetings and working with team members to drive the Merritt purpose.
  • Working with Home Office and Regional leadership to organize and maintain all functional areas including sales, operations, group fitness, programs and personal training to integrate club activities.
  • Recruiting, training and developing a world-class team.

Job Requirements:

minimum of 1 year(s) of health club experience in a fitness management role, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexible schedule, availability on evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Background in Personal Training and Group Fitness preferred.

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
